Week ending 14.11.14

What have we been doing in English? Last week we looked at using alliteration and rhyming words in our writing. We planned and then wrote poems about animals using these techniques. The poems were really fun to read!
What have we been doing in Maths? Last week we began looking at money. We looked at the different coins used and worked at finding totals and giving change by choosing different things to eat from the spooky 'Halloween Cafe'!
What have we been doing in Topic? Our topic for this term is 'How Are You'. Last week we learnt about different types of bread and had an enjoyable morning tasting and comparing a range of breads.
Other news… November 27th sees our ‘Decorate your head’ day which is being organised by FOGG. In return for decorating your head please bring in a small gift for the Christmas fair.
The Talent Show was a great success and helped us to raise lots of money for Children in Need. Congratulations to everyone who took part and well done to Daisy and Harry in Mr Harvey's class and Rachel and Braydon in Mrs Prophet’s class, who won best class talents!
Please could we also take this opportunity to remind you to send in permissions slips for the educational trip to Nando's Restaurant as we wouldn't want any of the children to miss out.
